In the manufacturing industry, the bonding and sealing of metal shells are important aspects of product protection. Whether it is household appliances, automotive components, or photovoltaic modules, the casing must not only withstand harsh environments such as high temperature, humidity, and vibration, but also maintain good air tightness and electrical insulation performance.
Traditional welding and screw fastening methods are gradually showing shortcomings in efficiency and reliability:
❌ Complex process and low assembly efficiency
❌ Easy to crack or fail under high temperature/alternating cold and hot conditions
❌ Difficult to achieve comprehensive sealing, limited waterproof and moisture-proof effect
In this context, RTV SIPC 1832 condensation type adhesive sealing silicone rubber emerged.
Product Overview
SIPC 1832 is a two-component condensed room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber:
It can be quickly cured at room temperature, and the released ethanol small molecules are non corrosive to the material;
After curing, it forms a soft elastic body with excellent properties such as resistance to cold and hot alternation, aging resistance, electrical insulation, moisture resistance, and earthquake resistance;
Good adhesion to substrates such as metal, plastic, ceramics, and glass. Special materials (PP/PE) can be combined with primer or surface treatment to enhance the effect;
Fast and stable assembly process can be achieved without the need for additional primer.
Product Features
Dehydration type room temperature rapid curing – suitable for efficient production on assembly lines
Microfluidic paste, easy to glue and form – suitable for complex structures and deep bonding
Dual component 1:1 volume ratio – simple mixing process with large allowable error
Good resistance to cold and heat exchange – adaptable to harsh environments
Excellent electrical insulation – ensuring long-term safe operation
Food grade FDA, ROHS, REACH certification – meets environmental and safety requirements
Application Cases
A certain home appliance manufacturing factory is facing the following difficulties in the assembly of metal shells for induction cookers:
The shell needs to withstand high temperature and humid kitchen environment;
After prolonged use, ordinary sealant may crack and leak;
The customer requires the entire machine to meet safety standards for moisture resistance, shock resistance, and flame retardancy.
After adopting the SIPC 1832 adhesive sealing scheme:
Rapid curing at room temperature, with a 20% increase in assembly line efficiency;
In the cold and hot alternating test, there was no cracking at the bonding point of the shell;
Through moisture-proof and insulation testing, it has excellent resistance to corona discharge and leakage;
The overall product has passed the certification smoothly, with significantly improved stability.
Typical application areas
The application of SIPC 1832 is very extensive, covering multiple industries:
Household appliances: microwave ovens, induction cookers, stoves, etc
New energy: photovoltaic modules and junction boxes
Automobile: headlights, sunroof, interior parts
Industrial filtration: medium to high efficiency air filter
As an adhesive material that combines rapid curing, excellent sealing, and high temperature resistance, SIPC 1832 provides efficient and reliable solutions for bonding and sealing metal shells and various materials, helping customers achieve high-quality and high-efficiency production goals.
