EP 650 is a single component heat cured paste epoxy based adhesive specifically developed for vehicle workshops. It can bond all grades of automotive steel and aluminum.
For the sake of corrosion prevention and safety, the white body of a car needs to be coated with epoxy adhesive before welding and before the manufacturing process of body painting, and then cured to form a bond during the electrophoresis process. Firstly, firmly position the internal and external sheet metal panels. Then apply the edge wrapping adhesive onto the outer panel and bend or fold it onto the inner panel. The adhesive is pressed and spread and filled, but it does not extrude the adhesive line, forming a folded flange adhesive. This process can achieve more noise resistant, vibration resistant, and impact resistant car locking.
EP 650 single component epoxy structural adhesive
EP 650 is a single component heat cured paste epoxy based adhesive specifically developed for vehicle workshops. It can bond all grades of automotive steel and aluminum. EP 650 exhibits low-temperature curing in electronic coating ovens, excellent low-temperature impact performance, good processability, and excellent toughness as an epoxy adhesive at -40 ° C and high testing speeds.
Features
EP650 single component epoxy structural adhesive is filled with glass microspheres to control the consistent thickness between two panels, ensuring bonding and sealing effectiveness. Before curing, the product has good resistance to flow, is solvent free and PVC free, and has good adhesion with oil coated steel plates and galvanized layers.
Recommended curing conditions: 170-180℃ 20-30mins
Typical applications
■ Including folding and structural bonding used in the automotive industry.
■ Including but not limited to the edges of the inner and outer panels of metal engine hood, doors, luggage compartment, or tailgate
