The vortex sensor is a non-contact sensor based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. It is widely used in industrial automation, aerospace, automobile manufacturing and other fields to measure the position, speed, vibration and other parameters of metal objects. vortex sensors have become an important tool in the industrial field due to their high accuracy, fast response, and good stability.
The working principle of vortex sensors is based on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction. When the coil in the sensor is energized, an alternating magnetic field is generated around it. When a metal object approaches the sensor, the alternating magnetic field generates vortex on the metal surface. These vortex will form a reverse magnetic field inside the metal, affecting the distribution of the original magnetic field. The sensor detects these changes and then calculates the position, speed and other parameters of the metal object.
1.High precision: Vortex sensors can provide micron-level measurement accuracy and are suitable for precision measurements.
2.Non-contact measurement: The vortex sensor has no direct contact with the object being measured and will not cause wear or damage to the object being measured.
3.Fast response: The vortex sensor has a fast response speed and can detect dynamic changes in real time.
4.Resistant to harsh environments: vortex sensors can work stably in harsh environments such as high temperature, high pressure, and oil pollution.
Application
Vortex sensors are widely used in many fields:
Industrial automation: used for real-time monitoring and control of parameters such as position, distance, vibration, etc.
Aerospace: used for condition monitoring of key components such as aircraft engines and turbines.
Automobile manufacturing: used for testing body, engine and other components to ensure production quality.
Machine tool equipment: used for real-time monitoring during processing to improve processing accuracy and efficiency.
The Importance Of Internal Potting Of Vortex Sensors
In order to ensure the long-term stable operation of the vortex sensor in harsh environments, its internal structure needs to be potted. Potting not only protects the internal components of the sensor from environmental influences, but also increases the mechanical strength and durability of the sensor.
Requirement For The Potting Material
When performing internal potting of vortex sensors, the choice of potting material is crucial. Main requirements include:
1.High temperature resistance: The sensor needs to work properly in an environment up to 150 degrees Celsius.
2.Oil resistance: The sensor may be exposed to various industrial oils during use, such as ATF oil and transformer oil. The potting material must have excellent oil resistance.
3.Low hardness: The potting material should have a low hardness after curing to avoid stress damage to the internal components of the sensor.
Recommended product: EP 1720AB epoxy resin
▶ 1:1epoxy potting resin
▶ 20A Low hardness
▶ ATF resistant transformer oil
