1、 Case backgroundA well-known kitchenware brand faced an important challenge when launching a new kitchen lid: how to achieve efficient bonding and sealing between glass and stainless steel while meeting food safety standards (FDA requirements). This pot lid design requires a small bonding area, high construction accuracy, and excellent weather resistance and chemical resistance to adapt to the working environment of high temperature, humidity, and the presence of various chemicals in the kitchen.Kitchen lid sealing. 2、 Customer needs and challengesIn this project, the client mainly focuses on the following points:Food grade safetyDue to the direct contact of the product with food, the sealant must comply with FDA standards and meet environmental certification requirements such as ROHS, REACH, TSCA, and VOC to ensure health and safety during use.Material adhesionThe product involves the bonding of two substrates, glass and stainless steel, requiring the sealant to form a firm and stable bonding interface between different materials.Construction accuracyDue to the small bonding area and complex shape, high precision is required for dispensing.
